My name is Ray Valdez, many call me Crispy, some call me Christa, you can decide for yourself. I am a 5 year tattooer working in Portland, Oregon at the world famous Lombard Street Tattoo.
Tattoos are my expression; a romanticized view of the beautiful world I see around me, all with the intention of bringing that view to my clients. I hope for my tattoos to tell stories and evoke profound proclamations of love, friendship, nonchalance, peace, anger, reclamation, and heartache; even if in the simplest or unassuming ways. My designs are bolted down with the foundations of American traditional tattooing in mind to ensure that they will last a lifetime all while maintaining a unique stylistic appeal.
Bold, fineline, black & gray, or color; anything your heart desires is what I desire too. I take pride in my versatility and adaptability between styles and techniques, and I would love to bring your tattoo visions to fruition. Let’s chat and see where this goes.

Click the "Booking Request Form" button on this website! This is a form that I use to collect all the info I need for our appointment. You'll get a response from hello@crispyray.com with a link to book your actual appointment with instructions. Please try to be as descriptive and thorough as possible with the request form as it will get you booked faster!
There is also an option to book flash on demand, without chatting about it first. EXHILARATING, NO? you can find that on this page as well with the button labeled "Book Flash Now".

FLASH IS AWESOME! It’s SO awesome that I have dedicated an option to book it at any time that is convenient for you! no need to wait on an email response or to fill out a booking form, you can just boom click the link and book your time. Flash options are coming soon to my website and are in my story highlights on instagram. sometimes there is even time for 2 flash pieces in one session!

*I request a non refundable $50 deposit at the time of booking that will come out of the total cost of your tattoo. There is also a $2 service fee for my very convenient software! I hope you understand <3

If you need to reschedule, you can do so manually via the square confirmation email you received after making your appt.
If you reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment time, please email me so we can find an new date! I really am inconvenienced by last minute reschedules but of course I understand that life happens and I'm extremely understanding when stuff comes up including weather, illness, or other circumstances.

Lombard Street Tattoo is located at 8937 N Lombard Street in the St Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. The neighborhood is super cute, parking is typically easy to find and there are tons of food options nearby. We have a shop manager who will greet you upon entry and get you set up with water and a seat to wait in. Lombard is wheel chair accessible.
The shop can get pretty loud when its full and I encourage headphones and ear pods as I find myself becoming a less talkative tattooer with time lol. I also have individually wrapped non toxic ear plugs for you on request!
